Thug Used Gay Dating App To Rob and Kill Man Because He "Hated Homosexuals"

A man who deputies said pretended to be gay in order to rob and kill another man appeared in court Monday.
Devonte Garrison, 22, was taken into custody and charged with capital murder after deputies said he robbed, shot and killed a man on April, 19.
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. at the Excelsior on the Park apartments on Ella Boulevard and Greenwell Drive.
A man later identified as Adrienne Ward, 30, was shot while driving, causing him to roll and crash into an apartment patio, deputies said.
Originally, authorities had no motive for the shooting until a tip came in pointing them to Garrison.
Authorities said Ward was driving to the complex to meet Garrison, who was captured on surveillance video getting out of Ward’s vehicle and firing multiple shots into it.
Responding deputies were able to get Ward out of the vehicle and he was transported to a hospital, where he later died, authorities said.
After the shooting, prosecutors said a tipster called “Bunny” came forward and told them she had been speaking with a man who referred to himself as Arzue on the “Tagged” app.
Bunny told authorities Arzue – who authorities later identified as Garrison – had bragged about the killing saying he “hated homosexuals and that he lured (Ward) to his apartment under the ruse of hooking up,” prosecutors said.
Bunny said Garrison told her he robbed Ward of his cellphone while was inside the vehicle.
The tip led authorities to Garrison, and he was taken to the Harris County Jail where he is being held without bond.
Garrison’s next court date is scheduled for Wednesday.

  1. And that's why as of last week I deleted all those gay apps and will not be contesting my phone with them anymore. Aside from the fact that the majority are so rude and judgmental and barely have city bus passes to get from point A to point B to be even judging someone, these dudes plotting and scheming on these apps because they have nothing to lose is no joke and it's not going to stop anytime soon but I've said it before and I'll say it again, I gives no damn how sexy you "think" you or you could have a dick bigger than a thoroughbred, I have to much to live for other than one night of freaking that will lead to something worse than an STD but instead a permanent marker at your local cemetery!

    2. That's what I was thinking too @Robkn79, I wouldn't be bragging about it, I'd be thanking the good lord up above that he spared me and I wasn't his victim. And as far as those apps go you're not missing a thing man. If I can't meet a good man the old fashioned way, maybe it's intended for me to remain single a bit longer!

  3. So a man who hates homosexuals went out of his way to discover and download the homosexual apps in existence. I wouldn't be surprised if he was gay, and hates that part of himself more than he could ever hate any homosexuals.

  4. There's too many ppl out there hating gays as it is. We certainly don't need to provoke these broken, lost, confused, evil spirits by our words, actions or vile treatment of them. Sometimes, their hate is enough to do the unimaginable. Just got through reading a story where gays are intentionally exposing people, gays in houses are out there conning people and robbing them..etc. Whether this man was gay or not, there are Gays out there hustling ppl too. And some of us, are our own worst enemies. Self-hate is real. Be careful when you choose to deal with these "broken-spirited" individuals.
